Jammu, Jan 6: A police party of Police Station Nowabad led by SHO Jaipal Sharma under the supervision of SSP Jammu Prabhat Singh, SP City J. S Johar and SDPO City West Manick Raj, ,apprehended 4 persons in possession of 12800 Narcotic capsules at Jewel Chowk near MAM Stadium, Jammu on January 6, 2013.
The accused persons namely Vishal Kumar S/o Hansraj R/o Jani-pur, Kuldeep Raj S/o Om Parkash R/o Jani-pur, Raj Kumar S/o Munshi Ram R/o B.C. Road and Sunny Kumar S/o Ram Lal R/o Bakshi Nagar were apprehended and being subjected to checking while debo-arding from a bus alongwith consignment of 12800 capsules.
They had brought the capsules from Ludhiana, Punjab and were going to sell it to youths of Jammu city at exhorbitant rates and spoil their health by making them drug addicts.
SSP Jammu Prabhat Singh visited the P/S Nowabad and appreciated the role of staff of P/S Nowabad and also issued directions to intensify the campaign against rampant use of narcotic drugs amon-gst youth. |
