| JK Bank organizes awareness camps, accords send off to cluster head | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Jan 6: JK Bank organized an awareness camps at Turkwangam, a remote village in district Shopian and at village Puchal (Lajora) in district Pulwama. More than 100 people from the village participated in the camp and expressed their interest in the programme. Cluster Head Shopian while interacting with the participants said that J&K Bank is expanding its branch network in rural areas and providing hassle-free credit at their door steps. He urged people to take maximum benefit of the financial solutions offered by the Bank to give boost to their business, start self-employment ventures and be a part of the larger economic growth story of the state. Incharge FLCC Shopian in his address said that these awareness camps were part of financial inclusion programme of RBI and are aimed at imparting financial education to rural down trodden people for upgrading their financial strength. Lead District Manager Shopian, while speaking on the occasion, gave an exhaustive overview of the deposit and loan schemes of bank which are customized and tailored especially for the public in rural areas. The main area of focus was "Kissan Credit Card (KCC), Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS) and Poultry Development Scheme have been designed to give boost to the agricultural products besides improving the living standard of rural people. I urge you to avail them for your better future", he added. In Puchal (Lajora) the FLCC Facilitator gave an overview of important deposit and loan schemes of banks, including Debit cards / Credit Cards and other technology products of banks. Meanwhile, officials of Bank's Jammu West Zone accorded a warm send off to Prem Parkash Gupta, Bank's Cluster Head for Reasi, who retired from the active services of the bank on December 31, 2012. R K Chhibber, Vice President and Zonal Head, who presided over the farewell meet, while appreciating Gupta's services described him as an honest, sincere and dedicated officer. |
