| Lal Singh convenes public grievance camp | | | | KATHUA, Jan 6 : In order to take stock of problems and demands of the people and for their redressal, Member Parliament Udhampur-Doda Constituency, Ch. Lal Singh convened a public grievances camp at Kathua today. The people from various villages of the District put forth their demands and grievances before the Member Parliament. People of Village Baghe chack demanded link road for the village. Sarpanch Ghagwal demanded replacement of water supply pipes and iron electric poles as the existing water supply pipes and iron electric poles are in worse condition. The people from various villages complaint delay in 10% increase in ration quota for BPL families as per the Government Order. They demanded early sanction of widow pension and old age pension for which applications are lying with social welfare department. They further demanded inclusion of genuine poor families in BPL list. The panchs and sarpanch from various panchayats of the district demanded more powers to the Panchyatas to strengthen the Panchayati Raj in the state. Ch. Lal gave patient hearing to grievances and demands of the people and assured early redressal on priority basis. |
