| Rape accused held, 4 detained for black mailing girl | | | early times report
Jammu, Jan 6: In two different incidents, police arrested a rapist while four more
youth were lifted for black mailing the city based girl.
As per police sources, four persons of Tallab Tillo were lifted by police for blacking mailing a girl.
Based on the complaint of the parents of the girl, police lifted them.
Sources said that the girl had engaged with a Talab Tillo based youth. Later the boy introduced his three more friends to the girl. The four youth started black mailing the girl on one pretext or other. Moreover, they also took some valuable items from her. The interrogation of all the four was in progress till late hours.
Meanwhile, Police said that they (Kana Chak police) received a complaint from a young girl a resident of village Ramta in Gharota that Shama had allegedly raped her.
"She was given promise by her boy friend namely Shama that he will marry her and allegedly raped her. However, the youth later denied to marry the girl prompting her to move a case against him," police added.
It said that they have conducted medical examination of the victim and its report has yet to come, while the accused has been arrested in the rape case. |
