| Saroori reaches to supporters, revolt against Azad in Chenab Valley | | Azad plan to head JK in 2014 receives setback | | Asif Iqbal Naik kishtwar, Jan 17: Former Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad's dream of heading the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir during the 2014 elections seems quite distant. The party is in revolt, this time for not considering MLAs from Chenab Valley for Cabinet berths. Azad has been further removed from 2014 election panel and the Chenab Valley accuses him of deliberately dropping the two MLAs. The Panchs and Sarpanchs from the region have submitted resignations and are angry with Azad who enjoyed overwhelming support in the area and gave some tough moments to Saif-ud-Din Soz who headed other faction of the party. The angry Sarpanchs and Panchs alleged that Ghulam Nabi Azad ditched and deceived public of Bhaderwah, Bhallessa, Chirala, Kilar and Thatri areas of his constituency with his move. Like Saroori supporters, the resigning of Panchs and Sarpanchs of Bhaderwah constituency also urged Niaz to quit the party and contest the election as an Independent candidate. Meanwhile, MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori reaches his supporters and urged them to maintain calm. Saroori yesterday blames JKPCC President Professor Saif-ud-Din Soz for his ouster and demanded his removal from the post of JKPCC president, the charges denied by Soz. Saroori in his message urged his supporters not to resign from Congress party and assured them that he will continue to work for his area with zeal and zest even though he was not inducted into the Council of Ministers. |
