JAMMU, Jan 17: Minister for R&B, MED Abdul Majeed Wani today assu-med the office.
Commissioner Secretary R&B, Mrs Tanvir Jehan, Chief Engineers of R&B and PMGSY, besides other senior officers of R&B were present on the occasion.
Commissioner Secretary briefed the minister about the ongoing and proposed projects under R&B sector.
Seeking cooperation from the officers in taking forward the R&B projects, the Minister said that timely completion of projects and connecting inaccessible areas through road network would be his priority. He said " I shall do my best to come up to the expectations of the people", adding that no stone would be left unturned in fulfilling the responsibility entrusted to him.
Emphasizing on close monitoring of the work, the minister said that inspections of the projects would be carried out shortly to see what was coming up on ground level.
Earlier, the Minister visited Govt Medical College Jammu to inquire about the condition of those injured in road accident in Bhaderwah yesterday. He instructed hospital authorities to keep available every possible medicare facilities for the injured during their hospitalization. |
