| Army organises painting, quiz competitions for students | | | early times report
rajouri, Jan 17: Army's Ace of Spades Division organised a painting and quiz competition at Valley View Army Public School today for the students of schools of Rajouri under 'Operation Sadbhavana.'
According to a defence communiqué more than 400 students from major schools participated in the event. "The aim of the competition was to boost the feeling of national integration and unity among children. Students were grouped into three categories and themes given to them in different categories for painting were aptly chosen in view of the upcoming Republic Day," it said.
The quiz competition was also held simultaneously, aimed at encouraging students to keep them abreast with their surrounding as also about various facets of the country.
Prizes in each category will be given on 26 January 2013 by General Officer Commanding, Ace of Spades Division at a special function being organised at Valley View Army Public School, Rajouri. |
