EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 20 : Terming the statement of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on 'Darbar Move' as a moral victory for the party, the Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) supremo, Prof Bhim Singh said today that it was the Panthers which had been asking for round the year Civil Secretariat at Jammu and Srinagar for the convenience of general public and in order to save 300 crores of the state exchequer. Addressing a press conference here today at Press Club, Prof. Singh said that Panthers Party had moved a petition in the High Court which was vehemently opposed by the same Chief Minister a year back.
Prof Bhim Singh further said, "The year 2013 shall be the year of liberation from the corrupt, communal and criminal NC-Congress alliance Government comprised of tainted ministers."
NPP Chief Patron said that 26th January is celebrated as Republic Day by the entire country but the people of J&K have been kept deprived of the fruits of democracy and the constitution of India right since birth of the Republic in 1950. Delimitation was held throughout the country except in J&K which speaks volumes of authoritarianism in the state and both NC and the Congress are responsible for the serfdom of the people of J&K under a dynasty rule, he added.
He said that reorganization is the only way out to resolve the political conflict in the state and it must be accomplished by 2013 in the interest of the people. The Party he said shall continue its fight against corruption, communalism and criminalization of politics to ensure that justice flows to every home.
