| AIBCU laments non-representation of OBCs in Ministry | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 20 : All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) under the chairmanship of Abdul Majid Malik, President of the Union held a day long block level convention of Block Bhalwal at Vishawkarma Mandir, Mishriwala today On the occasion, Kuldeep Raj Verma, the Vice Chairman of OBC Advisory and Development Board was the chief guest. Speakers and participants lambasted the State Government for neither inducting even a single Cabinet Minister nor giving a MoS berth while executing the reshuffle and once again ignored the OBCs. State OBCs whose numbers in the state is more than 50% of the total population have been deliberately kept away from the State Governance., the speakers alleged. Government's mind set has once again exposed in the reshuffle and its high claim for giving a public friendly governance has proved a white lie, said Abdul Majid Malik, President of the Union. Chief Guest Kuldeep Raj Verma also stressed that due share of the State OBCs under Para 95 of the Apex Court's Judgement of 1992 on Mandal report should be given adding that the speaks of the horizontal reservation to be applied for RBA as well as ALC and with the implementation of this formula there will be no loss of due share of any category including RBA and ALC. Union also condemned the attitude of Naib Tehsildar and SHO Gharota who disobeyed the Court of the Joint Agrarian Commission to maintain status quo in the Krishan Chand V/s Mela Ram land dispute allegedly created by the then Patwari Rajinder Singh and Naib Tehsildar Munshi Ram. The gathering in one voice warned the Government to shun the attitude of prejudice and should also refrain from the misuse of article 370 in order to allow the natural flow of justice to the State OBCs. |
