HIRANAGAR, Jan 20 : District Congress Committee (DCC), Kathua today hailed the decision of elevating All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi to the rank of Vice President of the party.
President, DCC Kathua and Member Legislative Council Subash Chander Gupta along with other congress workers congratulated Rahul Gandhi on being appointed as Vice President.
Gupta while briefing the party cadres, said that under the young and dynamic leadership of Gandhi, the Congress will become more strong.
He further said that this step of Rahul's elevation by the Congress leadership will brighten the chance of party in the next General Election.
Rahul Gandhi from the last couple of years has becomes a icon for the youth of the country, he added.
