KATHUA, Jan 22: The five-day long specialized football coaching camp, conducted by international footballer, Arun Malhotra, concluded with the holding of valedictory function at Delhi Public School (DPS), here today.
On the concluding day of the camp, the young campers, who were 64 in number, were imparted tips with regard to protection from possible injuries amidst maintenance of physical fitness by special invitee, Sports Medicine specialist of the state, Dr Sanjogita Soodan. All the campers were given away certificate of participation by the school management. Earlier, best stuff among the campers, five talented boys, were presented complete sports kits as a token of encouragement.
"The school management seems very keen to involve the students in the game of football, so I extended them a helping hand by way of holding a brief five-day camp," Arun Malhotra told SAN.
The function was also attended by Member Parliament, Choudhary Lal Singh, who appreciated the efforts of the DPS Kathua in promoting sports on their campus.
