| DIG reviews security arrangements | | | early times report UDHAMPUR, Jan 22: To review the security arrangements for the forthcoming Republic Day 2013, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Udhampur-Reasi Range, Mr. Jagjit Kumar today convened a meeting of senior officers of police and civil administration in his office chamber at Udhampur. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur,P.K Pole, SSP Udhampur, Ashkoor Wani, officers of CRPF, Army and other officers of District Police Udhampur. DIG imparted necessary instructions to all the participants to brief their officers and men to remain extra vigilant and alert in the days to come to ensure peaceful and smooth conduct of Republic Day 2013 and Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi. While formulating security arrangements SSP Udhampur will ensure that elaborate security measures are taken of the venue of main function of Republic day and its immediate surrounding areas including inhabitation area. The officers of Non civilians and CRPF were requested to organize Long Range Patrolling in their respective areas of responsibilities and patrolling on NHW. District SSP has been asked to make adequate deployment and security arrangements well in advance so as to ensure peaceful culmination of Republic Day and Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi. |
