| MLC kick starts work of Jandi Bagh road | | | | HIRANAGAR, Jan 22: Member Legislative Council and President District Congress Committee Kathua Subash Chander Gupta today kick started the work of construction of road from Jandi-Kattal road to Jandi Bagh via Middle School Jandi in presence of general public of village Jandi and adjoining areas. After getting started the work, Gupta briefed the gathering and said that better road connectivity will lead to socio-economic upliftment of the people in the area. Gupta said that Jandi Bagh is a very historic place worshiped by one and all. Every year thousands of pilgrims came here to pay their obeisance and after the completion of this road, the pilgrims will no more suffer for want of road connectivity He asked the officials to ensure timely completion of work and judicious expenditure of funds earmarked for it. Gupta said that this is a long pending demand of the public which is going to be fulfilled in the very near future. He also inspected progress of work of Jandi- Jalla Chak road and bridge over Nallah on Jandi- Hiranagar road, the work of which is in the final stage. |
