Restriction on ex-servicemen to vote for SCHBS elections breach of law: Langer

Jammu, Jan 22 : Sainik Colony Welfare Association (SCWA) voiced over the non-inclusion of civilian population in the voting practice in Sainik Cooperative House Building Society (SCHBS) elections, here today.
Addressing a press conference, president SCWA, Sham Lal Langer demanded that the civilian population residing in the colony should also be granted the right to exercise their votes for the better welfare & development of the colony.
"By restricting only ex-servicemen population to vote in the SCHBS's Elections is just a mockery of the entire election process and it also means breach of the rights of the civilian population of the colony" he alleged.
Langer has also put forth the demand of well equipped hospital in Sainik Colony to cater to the needs of the local population and also to that of other adjoining areas.
He accompanied by other members of SCWA including Rakesh Sharma, Secretary, Harkirat Singh Sasan, President, Harbhajan Singh Dutta and Sr Vice President Bakshi Singh.
