| DYFKM calls on Ajaz | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 22 : Displaced Youth Forum of Kashmiri Migrants (DYFKM) has called on Ajaz Ahmad Khan, Minister for Revenue Relief and Rehabilitation, here today. As per press release, DYFKM congratulated the minister on behalf of the community for assuming the charge of revenue department. They requested him to pay attention to some important pending problems such as filling up of the remaining posts on war footing basis created under Prime Ministers package, providing of proper accommodation facilities to the migrant employees and creation of additional infrastructure for such employees who will be appointed in due course of time.
The forum also brought to the notice of Minister about some decisions taken by the Apex Level Advisory Committee at Srinagar before Darbar Move which are totally against the welfare of the migrants and due to which old aged people are suffering. The controversial decision recorded in the minutes is about stopping of relief to families whose any member has been appointed under package, vacating the transit accommodation in Srinagar and construction of shops at Jagti under self financing scheme. |
