Murder Case solved: Woman burns man alive, held

Udhampur, Jan 23 : Police today claimed to have solved the murder mystery with the arrest of a woman who is prime accused of murder of a man whose half burnt body was recovered by police on Tuesday at Dabbar near Nallah Samroli Udhampur falling under jurisdiction of Police Station Chenani.
According to the Police report at about 06:00 PM, a telephonic call was received by SHO Police Station Chenani from SPO Surinder Singh that a burnt and mutilated dead body of a unknown person found in Dabbar (open space) near Nallah Samroli.
"On receiving this information Police party of Police station Chenani rush the spot and took the dead body to Hospital for postmortem in this regards a case under FIR No.06/13 U/S 302 RPC stands registered at Police Station Chenani and started investigations, police said. During the course of investigation investigating team along with FSL team visited the spot and found a trail of blood leading to the house of one Sushma Devi w/o Subash Chander alias Pinju r/o Samroli. On seeing the Police party approaching to her residence, police said, further adding, " Sushma Devi tried to run away from her house. Police gave a chase to her and arrested the accused. During preliminary questioning she revealed that deceased Madan Lal frequently visited to her house and during the intervening night of Jan 21/22 he had visited to her house along with 02 liquor pouches and there he consumed liquor and took food. Afterward both of them along with her son namely Pawan Kumar age about 7/8 years slept on the same bed. After some time a quarrel took place between them she attacked upon Madan Lal with Kundal (Spade) who died on spot due to fatal injury.
After that she tried to burn his dead body and she was not succeeded. Afterward she dragged the half-burnt dead body of deceased towards Samroli Nallah and threw it in a Dabbar. She disclosed the identity of deceased as Madan Lal S/O Shiv Ram R/O Samroli. Meanwhile police has got the autopsy performed upon body of deceased at SDH Chenani.
