SRINAGAR, Jan 23: A meeting of officers was held here today under the Chairmanship of Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture, Raman Bhalla in which matters related to renovation and repairs of Museum and Tagore Hall at Srinagar and Abhinav Theatre at Jammu were discussed threadbare. Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Sajjad Ahmad Kitchloo and, Provincial President of National Conference, Nasir Aslam Wani were present in the meeting. On the occasion, the Secretary Cultural Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Khalid Bashir Ahmad apprised the meeting about the steps being taken by Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for preservation of precious artefacts and other entities of importance. He appealed the Minister to extend financial support to Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for execution of work on cultural heritage of the State. Raman Bhalla impressed upon the officers to ensure safety and security of precious artefacts so that new generation shall be made aware about the ancient history of the State through these precious artefacts. |
