JAMMU, Feb 10: Jammu and Kashmir today qualified for the final of the men's Sarbe team event in the ongoing 23rd National Fencing Championship at Rohtak in Haryana. Now, in the final, scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, J&K shall take on the tough side of Services. Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, J&K outplayed Punjab in a close contest 45-41. As per the reports reaching here, in the quarterfinals, J&K trounced Chattisgarh 45-31. In the first and second round matches, J&K beat Uttar Pradesh (15-06) and West Bengal (15-10) respectively. The J&K men's Sabre team is comprised of Rashid Ahmed, Vishal Thappar, Pardeep Kumar and Ajay Khatrol. Team is accompanied by Shottu Lal Sharma as coach. |
