| Moulvis arrested for burning minor in Rajouri Madarsa | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Feb 10 : Rajouri police today arrested two Moulvis of a Madarssa situated near head post office in the heart city for burning the feet of a minor student with an electric press. The incident took place about a week ago but came to light this morning when the maternal uncle of the student visited the complex to meet him. Student has been identified as Mohammad Mushraff son of Basharat resident of Ghaluti in Manjakot tehsil and the moulvis arrested by the police have been identified as Mohd Jameel and Mohd Anwar. Police sources said that Musharaff was taking religious teaching in the Madarssa situated in Anderkot Mohalla in the old city and mostly remain absent from his classes. Despite several warnings Musharaff did not mend his activities and to teach him a lesson both the moulvis burnt his both feet with an electric press and to hide the incident Musharaff was treated inside the complex for more than seven days. Today when Abdul Haroof , maternal uncle of the victim visited Madarssa to know the well being he was surprised to see Musharaff lying on the bed. Musharaff narrated the whole incident and Haroof brought the matter into the notice of police. A police team led by M Sharief, in-charge city police post rescuec the victim from Madarssa and was treated at district hospital. After medical report police registered a case against the Moulvis under section 343/324 RPC (FIR 58/2013) and in the late evening both the moulanas were arrested by the police. |
