| Mobile, internet, cable services scrapped; KU, BOSE postpones exams | | | Srinagar, Feb 10 : With severe restrictions in place throughout the valley, the little activity that was there in the chilled valley got affected. On one hand as the mobile internet services and cable services remain blocked and newspapers also could not hit stands, on the other BOSE and Kashmir University postponed all examinations. Authorities said that the restrictions on mobile services and cable services are there as a precautionary measure. "The restrictions on services are there to check rumor mongers," one official said. Some of the local newspapers could not be published at all as the police raided several printing presses last night while those published could not hit stands because of the severe restrictions in the valley. Meanwhile, State Board of School Education and Kashmir University postponed all the examinations due to prevailing situation. In an official statement, a BOSE spokesman said. "All examinations have been postponed and the fresh dates will be announced later." Kashmir University also postponed all the examinations and said that new dates would be announced soon. |
