| Sham urges teachers to develop strong foundation of students for better future | | Euro Care Pre-schooling observes annual day | | early times report
JAMMU, Feb 12: Lauding the role of private sector in promoting quality education in the State, Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Sham Lal Sharma, has expressed gratitude to private educational institutions for supplementing government's efforts of enhancing literacy rate. "During the past over one decade, every parameter of education has witnessed a discernible change with the expansion of education to every nook and corner of the state with focus on rural areas", the Minister maintained. Speaking at an annual day function of Euro Care Pre-schooling Systems at Police Auditorium, here today, the Minister said that a strong foundation is must for building a strong future. He asked the teachers to focus on shaping the tiny tots in a right perspective so that they face the impending challenges of today's globalized era with added vigour and confidence. Laying stress on promoting moral education among the students, the Minister said that "we have to impart high ethos among students from the primary level to protect and preserve our culture and traditions". He asked the parents and teachers to make collective efforts for over all development of students. The tiny toddlers presented colourful bonanza of cultural items which mesmerized the jam packed audience. The Minister also distributed prizes among the students who performed in cultural activities. Director of the School, Bala Gupta gave resume of activities of the school. |
