Jammu, Feb 12 : Aanganwadi Workers and Helpers Union (AWHU) today held demonstrations in front of Directorate Social Welfare Department Roop Nagar, here at Jammu.
As per press release the demonstration was held to bring attention of the Government and higher authorities of the Social Welfare Department on the issues of ICDS Supervisors, Anganwari Workers and helpers.
Mohd Gafoor Dar, State President J&K National Trade Union said that ICDS Supervisors, Ang anwari Workers and helpers have been suffering since along due to unnecessarily delay in payment of their salary and honorarium for months together waiting for pay.
Dar demanded, "Removal of pay anomalies ICDS Supervisors at par with supervisors of the country in the pre revised grade of Rs. 5000-8000. Enhancement in fuel charges and carriage charges of ICDS Centre for Fur flung areas. Timely disbursement of salary to avoid financial constraints on them." |
