KATHUA, Feb 12: Kathua Knight Riders (KKR) and Police Training School (PTS)-B won their respective matches to consolidate their position in the Kathua Premier League Twenty20 Cricket Tournament underway at Sports Stadium, here today. In the first match, KKR outplayed Lakhanpur Cricket Club (LCC) by 24 runs. Batting first, KKR made 131 runs losing all their wickets for 19.4 overs, which, in reply LCC could not chase and bowled out for 107 runs. Raghav remained top scorer from KKR with 37 runs while Kamal took three wickets from LCC. Later, LCC could make 107 runs thereby lost the match by 24 runs. Rajesh and Maan were top scorers with 27 and 15 runs respectively. From KKR, Raghav emerged as most successful bowler, who secured four wickets while Preet took two. Meanwhile, in another scheduled match, PTS-B registered a three-wicket win over Basohli Cricket Club (BCC). Earlier, BCC made 138 runs with Muzamil (54) being highest scorer. Rinku contributed 18 runs. Majid and Sahil Singh took three wickets each from PTS-B. In reply, PTS-B attained the goal making 141 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Nitish and Nazeem played fine innings of 52 and 40 runs respectively. From BCC, Muzamil claimed three wickets and Shubam took two. For his superb innings of half century, Nitish was adjudged man of the match. |
