JAMMU, Feb 12: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today hailed SSP Traffic Jammu for penalizing several old and unfit buses being pressed into service for ferrying the school children by the private schools. NCP General Secretary and Spokesperson Sudarshan Choudhary also extended gratitude to SHRC for issuing notice to the school authorities, DGP, Commissioner Secretary School Education Departments and IGP Traffic Police and directing them for their response before or on April 8, 2013. SHRC has taken suo-moto cognizance of death of minor school going girl of DPS February 7. Later, led by Sudarshan Choudhary, the students of various schools took out a candle light procession. The students were carrying placards in their hands to mourn the death of "Suruchi", a DPS Student. Addressing the gathering, Choudhary blamed the school authorities for plying old and unfit buses and RTO for passing these buses.
