| Seeking relief for fire victims, BJP slams Govt | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Feb 14: Senior BJP leader and party State Executive Member Sunil Sharma slams state government for allegedly failure to prove relief to the effected families of Tun-Padder fire incident where 100 cattles burnt alive and 29 residential houses were gutted. After visiting Padder Tehsil of Kishtwar District, Sharma said that the claims made by the Government were totally fraud and added that no help on part of the Government has so far reached the effected hamlet. "No ration, no blankets, no kitchen sets, no cloths or mattresses were provided to the effected families who spend their painful night by the mercy of the god. More than 150 peoples of the effected family spend their night in nearby residential houses" he said. Sharma said that the people were shivering in extreme cold weather and said that instead shifting the effected people in school building or nearby Panchayat Ghar, the administration left them by the mercy of god. He advised MOS Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah instead of issuing their statements over the tragedy must have directed the concerned district administration to rush the relief material to the effected village by chopper. Sharma informed that due to accumulation of more than 3 feet snow in affected hamlet, there is less possibility that the relief material claimed to be sent by the district administration will reach to the effected families. It is worthwhile to mention that concern MLA Kishtwar Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo MOS Home after unsuccessful attempt of landing via state chopper make cosmetic announcements at Kishtwar. BJP Kishtwar has demanded Rs 5 lakh, timber and free ration of six months to each effected families from Prime minister Relief Fund with immediate effect.
