Udhampur, Feb 14: The Safai karamcharis of Udhampur continued their strike in support of their long pending dem-ands for the seventh day also and the ongoing stir has apparently turned the Udhampur town into garbage dump.
Pawan Khajuria Ex-President (UMC) Udhampur Municipal council told that due to the strike of Safai Karamc-haries, the whole city is converting into a garbage dump.
He said the genuine demands of Safai Kara-mcharies should be fulfilled as earliest.
Meanwhile student organizations and their respective leaders also have come in support of Safai Karamchari Union. Sushant Gupta President Govt Degree College, Udhampur ABVP, and Young Leader Ganpati Sharma & NSUI Presi-dent Ranjeet Bandral in a shape of delegation took up the matter with Municipal Corporation authorities. |
