JAMMU, Feb 14: On the recommendation of inquiry committee constituted for assessing the reasons for failure of 132 KV transmission towers in Poonch and Rajouri, the Government today placed under suspension the In-charge Chief Engineer P&MM, Mohammad Qasim and several other officials.
The officials suspended included D.P.S. Bali, AEE, PDC, Executive Engineer RGGVY, Rajouri Poonch, Nisar Hussain, AEE, Commercial Division Jammu(C&S Wing), Rajiv Chopra, J.E Store, A. E, EM&RE, Division 2nd Jammu, Summit Puri JE, Electric Central Stores Jammu, Barkat Hussain JE, TLCD-1 Jammu and Murir Hussain AEE, EM&RE Division Batote sub-division Jammu. It is worthwhile to mention here that the Committee was constituted in view of the recent power crisis in Rajouri and Poonch due to failure of transmission towers and Minister of State for Power Vikar Rassol had personally done the on-spot assessment of the damage on the directions of the Chief Minister. |
