KATHUA, Feb 14: District Information Centre, Kathua organized a Multilingual Mushiara at Bharat College of Education here today.
Prof Yash Paul Sharma from Government College for Women, Kathua was the Chief Guest while Asstt. Surgeon (Veterinary) Animal Husbandry. Kathua Dr Satvir Raina was the Guest of Honour on the occasion .
Eminent poets of Kathua recited their Poems/ Ghazals/ Writings touching various spheres of life. Through the poems, the poets presented the philosophy of life and various challenges faced by the common man in day today life. They also focused on various social evils like corruption, gender inequality, female feoticide, drug addiction etc prevailing in the society and suggested ways and means to eradicate them.
The prominent poets who recited their poem included T.R Sumbria, R.S Katal, Sunil Dutt Shaad, Vijaya Thakur, Dr Usha Monga, Shashi Sharma and Ajay Sharma.
While speaking on the occasion Chief Guest Prof. Yash Paul Sharma lauded the Information Department for organizing the Mushiara and providing a platform for literary class to exhibit their talent. He said that such programme help in promotion of art and literature in the society.
Guest of Honor Dr Satvir Singh said that poets are valuable assets of the society and their poems and writings guide the society during the difficult times. Later, Director of the College Prof R.C Bhagat presented the vote of thanks. |
