JAMMU, Feb 17: There is a person whose name is Agnivesh. He says he is a "Swami". He says he is a "Hindu scholar". He says he is a "devout Indian". He says he is also a "social activist" and he has been working since long to "cleanse" the society and the system of "all evils". He also calls him a "secularist and democrat par excellence". Besides, he says he is "deeply religious-minded person" and he "respects all the religions and sensitivities of the religious communities". This is all humbug. This is all non-sense. He is rabidly anti-India and out-and-out pro-terrorists, pro-Pakistan, pro-separatists and pro-Maoists. Actually, he is a mercenary, as also an agent of those in Kashmir who consider annual Amarnath Yatra a Hindu and cultural invasion on Kashmir. Indeed, he is anti-Amarnath Yatra or rabidly anti-Lord Shiva devotees. This is not an exaggeration, This is a statement of fact.
Just see what he said yesterday while pouring venom on the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and its decision to hold the 2013 Amarnath Yatra for 55 days. "Hindu zealots push hundreds of thousands of pilgrims into Kashmir to give an impression that Jammu and Kashmir is its integral part. Amarnath Yatra has given fillip to religious hysteria and we call it religious terrorism," he yesterday told Srinagar based news gathering agency CNS. "I appeal pilgrims to understand the designs of Hindu zealots who propagate this Yatra in such a big way that every Indian gets attracted towards it…How come it is possible that by visiting the Amarnath Cave, one could become pure? Pilgrims are being flocked to Cave to die and we all know last year, so many people lost their lives there," the agent of Geelani and his ilk also said, added that "it is better for Hindus to die in their homes instead of in the mountains of Amarnath".
"When Uttarakhand government can limit the duration and number of pilgrims then what is the problem in Jammu and Kashmir…
Hindu extremists sow the seeds of hatred and animosity between Hindus and Kashmiri Muslims…Time has come to limit the duration of Yatra so that religious terrorism could be curbed…The Jammu and Kashmir Government is not concerned about the environmental hazards and is giving free hand to the SASB for unknown reasons…Yatra is a handy tool for the SASB and Hindu extremists to exploit the sentiments of millions of Hindus across the country…Kashmiris are not being treated as humans," Geelani, Mirwaiz and Hafiz Saeed in Agnivesh also said. He also used the opportunity to condemn the Union Government for its decision on JeM operative and Kashmiri terrorist Afzal Guru, convicted in the 2001 Parliament attack case, and identify him with the fundamentalist and separatist structures in the Valley mourning the otherwise lawful execution of Guru.
This is Agnivesh. Is he a Swami and Hindu scholar? He is a Hindu and India-baiter; who needs to be booked immediately for his outrageous remarks on the Hindu community, Lord Shiva and the Holy Cave Shrine Amarnath. He is not a "swami" as he claims: It is hoped the SASB would take cognizance of the venom Agnivesh poured and initiate legal action against him in order to assuage the hurt feelings of over one billion devotees of Lord Shiva.
