JAMMU, Feb 17:Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Advocate Mohammed Sarwar Mir as President of party's Mahore zone in Reasi district. Sarwar Mir, whose appointment has been approved by the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, is a senior advocate besides social and political activist of Mahore area. He is also been associated with various social organizations of Mahore area. With the appointment of Mir, the earlier zonal committee of PDP Mahore zone has been dissolved. The new committee of Mahore zone would be announced very soon in consultation with the senior leaders of the party. Expressing his gratitude towards PDP leadership for appointing him as zone president, Mohammad Sarwar Mir assured the PDP leadership that he would work hard to strengthen party in Mahore zone in particular and Reasi district in general. He said that people of Jammu and Kashmir have high hopes on PDP because only this party has people friendly programmes and policies to address aspirations and wishes of all sections of the society.
