All Star XI, YCC win ties in Shaheed Manjeet T20

POONCH, Feb 17: All Star XI and Young Cricket Club (YCC) won their respective matches to move into the next round of the ongoing Shaheed Manjeet Singh Memorial Twenty20 Tournament at Government Degree College ground, here today.
In the first match, All Star XI defeated Prince XI by four wickets. Earlier, batting first, after All Star won the toss and opted to field, Prince XI made 114 runs losing all their wickets. Manzoor remained top scorer with 30 runs while Yafir and Basher contributed 18 and 14 runs respectively. From All Star, Farhan took four wickets, followed by Gurmeet, who bagged three. In reply, All Star XI attained the goal making 115 runs in 17 overs for six wickets. Dharampal played match winning innings of 42 runs while Rijwal added valuable 19. Lucky and Yafir took three wickets each. For his match winning innings, Dharampal was adjudged man of the match. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, YCC trounced Shanker Nagar Club by five wickets. Batting first, Shanker Nagar made 142 runs for six with Prince being highest scorer, who made 51 runs. Gourav and Pankaj contributed 11 and 18 runs respectively. Rouf Mir Milinga and Balal bagged three and two wickets respectively. Later, YCC attained the goal making 143 runs in 17.2 overs with five wickets in hand. Balal and Munna were top scorers with 37 and 32 runs in their respective accounts. From Shanker Club, Koushal took two wickets, followed by Prince and Rahul, who shared apiece each. Balal was named man of the match for his all-round performance. Today's matches were officiated by Pritpal Singh, JP Singh, Pravez Khan, Nawaz Rather and Gurvinder Singh.
