Jammu, Feb 23:The Curriculum Development & Research wing - Academic division, J&KBOSE organized a 5 day Workshop for Construction of Textual material of Economics & Financial Literacy to be included in the Social Studies Textbook of classes 9th and 10th which concluded here today.
During the valedictory at the end of the Workshop, the chairman BOSE, Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, thanked the participants for their valuable contributions and hoped the textual material generated, would add value to the existing social studies of classes 9th and 10th and help the students to gain basic knowledge' of economic concepts in our daily lives.
During 5 days of the workshop, the experts have endeavored to create material related to Money, Banking, Fanancial literacy, Basic concepts about the sectors of the Indian economy and government intervention measures for development of the Indian Economy..
The members of the working group for this 5 days workshop include Dr Jasbir Singh from Department of
Economics-University of Jammu, along with Lecturers from higher Secondary schools of both Jammu & Kashmir division-namely Sandeep Gupta, Neelam Sharma, Dr Vanita Gupta, and others.
The workshop was conducted by Geetika Singh Academic Officer (Management) while Nazir Ahmed Wani Liaison officer presented the Vote of Thanks. |
