Jammu, Feb 23: Ramban Police rescued two families and their live stocks with the help of the locals of the area at Mavalkote, Sangaldan in a rescue operation launched here today.
Reports revealed that in view of the ongoing heavy rain and bad weather, a house of one Shamima Begum W/o Late Ahmed Din Shah R/o Mavalkote, Sangadan comprising 03 rooms and a cattle shed of one Ashiq Hussain Shah S/o Mohd Hussain Shah R/o Mavalkote, Sangaldan totally damaged.
Soon after receiving the reports, the Ramban police launched a rescue operation at Mavalkote area with the help of local and rescued both the families, livestock and other household articles and shifted all the family members in a nearby safe area.
"The rescue operation was launched by the Police Party of PP Sangaldan headed by Dy.SP (Ops)/ I/C PP Sangaldan with the support of the locals and the prominent citizens of the area under the close supervision of the SP Ramban, sources said. |
