Jammu, Feb 23: President Jammu and Kashmir Pardesh Congress Com-mittee Prof. Saifuddin Soz-MP has asked party workers to gear up their activities to strengthen the organization and also to prepare for elections to the urban bodies. Addressing a meeting of the DCC Jammu Urban at PCC HQ, in whichoffice bearers of DCC and Block Presidents, Wards, Ex-Corporators were also present, Prof. Soz asked them to activate the cadres at the grass root level and strengthen the party, in the wake of preparations for the elections to the Municipal Corporation and other Urban Bodies, which would be held shortly as and when decided by the coalition government.
The issue of reservation and rotation of wards in the Corporation and Municipal Bodies was also taken within the meeting by the DCC and Ex-Corporaters alleging irregularities and irrational.
PCC President assured the meeting that the matter would be taken up for in-depth study, of the issue and for appropriate steps in this regard. |
