Kathua, Feb 23: The Communication and Capacity Development (CCD) unit in association with Wemtep organized one day workshop on free water testing in Barnoti.
Section Officer, K.K Sharma, Bedio Block Barnoti inaugurated the workshop. The workshop was organized to check the quality of water.
Sushil, Project Coordinator, CCD said that the four blocks have been identified to conduct the water testing programme in district Kathua including Basholi, Hiranagar Billawar and Barnoti for knowing the water contamination for putting into the notice of government through PHE department for providing the clean and healthy potable water at the door steps of the people. "About 170 water samples, from Barnoti Block have been tested and found some contaminated and most of the samples were observed as clean and health hazards free" he added. |
