Kishtwar, Feb 23: A team of Legal Metrology Department (LMD) has paid surprise visit at various shops in town and imposed a fine of Rs 3940 on the violators.
The official spokesperson said, "The market was checked by the squad of LMD with the help of police and a fine of Rs. 3940 was imposed on violators for selling without rate list and on exorbitant rates.
The shopkeepers have been directed to display rate lists and keep hygiene in their shops."
He said that due to inclement weather and snowfall, the District Administration in Kishtwar has ensured that the eatables are sold at the reasonable rates to the costumers. "Addi-tional Deputy Commis-sioner (ADC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan has called a meeting to review the supplies of essential items like LPG, Kerosene Oil and ration in the District.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Kishtwar Indeerjeet Singh Parihar, SDPO Kis-htwar Farooq Qaser, TSO and other officers" he added. |
