Jammu, Mar 4: Annoyed over the response of state government as well as education department for not accepting their demand, the Joint Action Committee ETT Colleges on Monday started a protest dharna with chain hunger strike in the premises of J &K School Education Board at Rehari, Jammu. The protesters were carrying play cards during the protest and were raising slogans like "Bashir Hatao-Board Bachao", "Chairman JK Board- Hai Hai", Chairman Hatao- Board Bachao" and "Soyee Sarkaar- Neend se Jago". Addressing the protestors, Dr. Hari Dutt Shisu, criticized the alleged vested interest based misleading attitude of the Bose Chairman before the state government and the Board of Governors for creating confusions in a simple solution to the genuine demand of ETT stakeholders for regularization and early conduct of exams to their admitted students. Deep Singh said that due to constant degrading academic standards of JK Board and casual attitude of state government towards its meaningful monitoring, future of coming generations was at stake. "It is state government that approves the long illegal deputation of corrupt officers in the prestigious institute of the state i.e. Bose with the result majority of state citizens prefers to admit its wards in CBSE schools which is not possible for everyone" Deep Singh further added. |
