ET Plus Report Jammu, Mar 12: Shiv Sadhna Institute of Professional and Technical Education (SSIPTE) celebrated International women’s day and also held an awareness camp at Village Balwal Mollo of Block Khour on Tuesday. According to press release, the programme was organized with the support of Council for Rehabilitation of Widows, Orphans, Handicapped and Old Aged Persons. On the occasion Somnath, Assistant Director Handicrafts, Prof Reeta Jitendera Ex-Principal of Women College Parade Jammu, Nasib Singh Sarpanch Village Balwal Molloo, Suman Sharma President, SSIPTE SHIV, Sarpanches, Panches, and Prominent citizens of the Villages were present on the occasion. Nasib Singh, Sarpanch, Balwal moloo in his address highlighted the problems of the people living in the adjoining areas. He requested Madam Suman Sharma to make more efforts for the development of women of this Block and also requested for organizing technical training programme for the women for their awareness. He appreciated the effort of the organization for celebrating women day in rural area. While speaking on the occasion, Assistant Director DC (H) highlighted the role of Handicratfs in the development of rural people and apprised people about the various schemes launched by Handicrafts for people who lived in rural areas. Reeta Jitendera congratulated all the women present in the programme on the occasion of International Women Day. She expressed satisfaction over the ongoing activities of SSIPTE in this area which is sponsored by Handicrafts. |
