Jammu, Mar 12: Intending to garner support for scheduled secretariat gherao march of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on March 14, chief spokesperson of BJP Dr. Jitendra Singh today convened a meeting at Reasi. According to press release, speaking at the meeting, Dr. Jitendra Singh said the time has come to awaken the masses and come out to expose the duplicity of coalition government which has put the national interest as well as the state interest at stake simply to hold on to power through appeasement of separatists. Dr. Jitendra Singh added that on the one hand the NC leadership is engaged in competitive upmanship with PDP in the name of Afzal Guru, on the other hand Congress which is a coalition partner is maintaining a convenience silence. He also raised questions on the employment policy of government and referred to increasing unemployment in the state and delay in the construction of Reasi-Katra road. BJP State Secretary Kabla Singh said that corruption has crossed all limits in the district administration. He said the instead of addressing the people's problems the district administration officers are busy in making money. The meeting was attended among others by Subash Gupta, Chander Kanta, Sheel Mangotra, Ajay Baru, Joginder Singh, Chaman Lal and others. Similarly a meeting was organized at Rajouri, for scheduled Mini Secreteriat Gheroa on same day. A meeting held at Dak Banglow Rajouri in which state Vice president Advocate Vibodh Gupta said that BJP has planned grilling government on the total failure in all sectors and they have well prepared for the protest demonstration to be held outside Deputy Commissioner office Rajouri which is mini-secretariat of the district. Terming the government as total collapse, Gupta said that for the last more than 4 years, nothing visible development is seen on the ground and instead Congress and National Conference are focusing to befool the people for getting ready for the next elections. |
