Udhampur, Mar 12: Rotary Health Mission is going to organize a 10 day long mega multispecialty medical check-up and surgical camp in Udhampur for bringing the modern health care services to the door step of the people living in far remote areas on March 16. State Co-ordinator, Rotary Health Mission, D N Sharma in après conference disclosed that the Rotary Foundation in collaboration with Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, (Govt of India), state government and Rotary Clubs of J&K are organizing 10-day mega multispecialty medical check-up and surgical camp at Udhampur District Headquarters from this March 16 to provides advance healthcare services to the deserving patients of Udhampur and its adjoining areas. Sharma revealed that specialist doctors from outside the state and from J & K Health Department will examine and operate the patients. "The patients suffering with Eye diseases, ENT, Dental, Gynecology, Urology, Orthopedic, General surgery, Plastic surgery, Cardiac and other serious diseases will be examined and will also treated during the camp, he added. He said that the camp would be held at different locations which include Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Housing Colony Udhampur, Govt. District Hospital Udhampur, and Serv Sidhi Nursing Home Udhampur. Patients suffering with Cardiac, Kidney, Oncology (Cancer), Neurology, Corneal diseases requiring transplant, Retinal Detachment requiring retinal detachment surgery and other serious diseases will be screened at Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital, Housing Colony Udhampur on 23rd & 24th March 2013 and those recommended for surgery, will be operated at PGI Chandigarh free of cost, he said, further adding, "free boarding and lodging, meal transportation and other facilities would be provided to patients.' |
