Jammu, Mar 12: To sensitize jail inmates about AIDS, the J&K State AIDS Prevention & Control Society (JKSACS) organized an awareness programme in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal. According to press release, Superintendent of Central Jail Rajni Sehgal was chief guest on the occasion. The programme began with an introduction by Risheesh Khajuria, Assistant Director (Publicity) JKSACS, who briefed the jail inmates about the importance of holding the AIDS Awareness programme. Later while interacting with inmates, Deepika Thakur dwelt in detail about the different aspects of HIV/AIDS. She while highlighting the role of IEC in combating HIV/AIDS focused on the facilities being provided by JKSACS and the need for imparting Adolescent Education Programme. The interactive session which followed was very informative and educative. She also complimented the staff of the jail under supervision of Superintendent Central Jail for very lively and congenial atmosphere in premises of the Jail. The programme was attended by JKSACS officials, who included Ashish Saraf DA, Shruti Verma DA, & other official of the Central Jail. |
