Srinagar, Mar 12: Jammu and Kashmir Central Coordination Committee of Contractors (JKCCCC) have hailed the decision of the government to fix the minimum amount for applying e-tendering at Rs 10 Lakh. The JKCCCC in a meeting said that government decision was a long pending demand of the contractors which would help in the developmental process. "Keeping lowest limit for applying to tenders online was our long pending demand. Our demand was that Rs 20 lakh should be the minimum contract applying to tender online. Government has kept a minimum amount of Rs 10 lakh is also a welcome step and we hope that government would increase this cap to Rs 20 lakh," said General Secretary JKCCCC Farooq Ahmad Dar. Notably, the State government has in its recent order no PWDR&B-e-tendering 2011-1783-488 approved the minimum limit for applying e-tenders at Rs 10 lakh.
