| Political activists join JKDF | | | ET Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 17: A large number political activists led by Narinder Manhas from Congress and Peoples Democratic Party joined JKDF here.
In a statement a JKDF spokesman said they were welcomed into the party fold by JKDF President Anil Gupta. “The group was formally inducted into the party in presence of senior party leaders Murari Lal Balgotra (Senior Vice President), Krishan Lal (General Secretary), Munish Khajuria (President JKDF Youth Wing) and Prashant Puri (Youth Leader).
The Joining Programme was being organized by District General Secretary Ajay Manhas,” he said.
Addressing the youth on the occasion Gupta said, “The youth have to play an important role in developmental activities and have a responsibility to toil the party in right perspective. Our objective is to focus on people’s problems and developmental activities where Jammu is still lagging behind.”
“Jammu has been made the victim of discrimination, injustice and mis-governance. It will be the duty of workers of party to reach to the masses in order to know their problems and highlight the same.
We hope by association of the youth, our party shall become strong and achieve its objectives more rapidly,” he added.
JKDF Youth Wing President Munish Khajuria said, “JKDF is fast growing political group which has emerged as peoples’ voice in short span of time.”
“Congress and BJP are playing the politics of deceit and have lost the mass support. People are desperately looking for strong alternative of this duo.
Youths have to play a big roll of toiling the party and promoting the ideology of new Jammu among the masses,” he added.
