ET Plus Report Bishnah, Mar 17 : The member of legislative Assembly from Bishnah constituency, Ashwani Kumar Sharma has lambasted state government for not bringing the resolution against Pakistan, similar to resolution adopted by both houses of Parliament, for indulging in India's internal affairs. Addressing a gathering of more than 6000 people at Bishnah town, 18 kilometers from Jammu, Ashwanni Sharma said, "Militant sympathizers government in J&K legislative Assembly accept adjournment motion on debating return of mortal remains of parliament convict Afzal Guru, but when we asked to pass the bring the resolution against Pakistan, who is indulging in internal affairs of India, we were not heard." He said that the chief minister Omar Abdullah didn't go to the wreath laying ceremony of five CRPF men killed in militants attack in Srinagar, which is the insult to the force which is for the security of people of the state. "In 1947, India got freedom but Jammu became slave of Kashmir centric leadership and we are not getting our share," Sharma said, adding that it is the time to raise voice against discrimination with Jammu. Ashwani Sharma has the political affiliation with Jammu State Morcha (JSM) party, aim of which is to get separate state for Jammu. The second time MLA from Bishnah, Sharma continuously raises voice against discrimination with people of Jammu in the state assembly. With budget session in progress, the MLA Bishnah has remained vocal throughout the session and raises issues pertaining to Jammu in general and his constituency in particular. "As the Assembly session is in progress, if felt it is important to inform people about happening inside the legislature, where voice of Jammu is not being heard," he added. Talking about his achievement after being elected as MLa from Bishnah in 2002, Ashwani Sharma said, "When I got elected, Bishnah was considered as one of the most backward areas of the state due to neglect by elected representatives and successive government. I have tried my best to work for people of my constituency and bring every small at door steps of my people." Counting his achievement, Sharma said that his efforts brought degree college to the area, two grid stations, improvement in road connectivity and 50 bedded hospital for the people of Bishnah. |
