| JKITIEUF holds convention | | | ET Plus Report
Jammu, Mar 17: Jammu and Kashmir ITI Employees United Front (JKITIEUF) today held one day convention of Technical Education Employees of ITI Sector, here at Jammu. According to press release, Minister of State for Technical Education Vikar Rasool Wani was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In the convention ITI Employees of all Districts of Jammu region have participated. Through its memorandum the JKITIEUF apprised minister about their demands including, Establishment of a mechanism for maintaining a balance between the demand and supply of skilled manpower produced by the ITIs and that actually needed in the state. All the agencies executing major developmental projects in the state need to be taken on board in this regard. They further demeaned, “Development of a system for the procurement of new-deficient equipment in the ITIs, as almost no equipment has been procured by the department during last about five years. In the absence of the requisite equipment it is not possible to conduct proper training in the institutes.” The front also demanded holding of DPC on regular basis. They also demanded, “Recruitment Rules of different categories referred to the Administrative department a few years back need to look into afresh to incorporate the changes in the scenario since and to include all categories and existing-new entrant Vocational Instructor in the specific grades 6500-10500 pre-revised. Final Seniority list of all employees viz State Cadre-Division cadre should be finalized every year.” |
