| Militants taking advantage of 'deceptive Peace' | | Nowgam Aattack | | Saahil Suhail
Ananatnag, Mar 21 : Militant attack on BSF convoy today morning is being attributed to inadequate security measures even after the Bemina attack on CRPF. Highly placed sources inside defence told ET Plus that after the execution of Parliament attack convict Mohd Afzal Guru, militants residing in northern areas of Kashmir valley changed its strategy and in order to take the revenge militants are targeting security forces. Sources said that the attack that took place at around 7:30am in the morning could have been averted if there were proper security measures taken by the security forces especially by the Jammu and Kashmir Police. They revealed that the inadequate security measures are encouraging militants to strike in the city and get media hype. Defence sources said that the militants are taking advantage of deceptive peace in the valley as the prevailing situation deceives security agencies and hence there are few checking frisking points which gives safe passage to militants who easily manoeuvre their misdeeds and escape. Sources revealed that despite a concerted decision to establish check nakkas of various security agencies, in a bid to curb repeated attacks on Panchayat representatives, nothing has been done on ground zero which is making the movement of militants in the outskirts convenient. |
