Jammu, Mar 21: Asserting that the state government for failing on all fronts BJP State President & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma, today appealed the state Governor to present the real picture of affairs in the state and recommend dissolution of the state assembly. While addressing a press conference at party hqrs alongwith Leader of the Legislature Party Ashok Khajuria, Sukhnandan Kumar (MLA) and Sham Choudhary (MLA), state president BJP Jugal Kishore Sharma challenged the state government to dismiss him from the membership of the assembly adding that even such a decision will not stop him from raising issues of discrimination, development and action against anti-national elements. Jugal said that that NC-Congress coalition government has failed on all fronts and is making repeated attempts to escape the public wrath in the current session of the assembly. He added that the Omar Abdullah government has no justification in replies to the questions raised regarding discrimination with Jammu and developmental activities. "Whosoever, raises these issues is thrown out of the house by Marshals while those raising anti-national slogans and expressing sympathies with terrorist like Afzal Guru are paid due attention and even their adjournment motions are accepted, he said. BJP Leader said that the discrimination with Jammu still continues despite misleading claims of ministers hailing from Jammu. Allocation of Rs. 351 crore for fly-overs in Srinagar and just 95 crore for Jammu themselves speak of the discriminatory attitude towards Jammu in developmental projects. Referring to discrimination with Jammu, he said only 2700 people from Kashmir under special recruitment drive were recruited as compared to barely 500 from entire Jammu province which itself is the height of discrimination with Jammu. He appealed the state Governor to present the real picture of affairs in the state and recommend dissolution of the state assembly. Ashok Khajuria said that the NC-Congress coalition is creating hoax among the masses as it has totally failed to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of the state. "It seems that there is a race between two Kashmir-centric political parties NC and PDP to prove who among them is more loyal and concerned for separatist and anti-national dispensations, he allged and added the people have been deprived of even basic rights while those talking of Pakistan and Afzal Guru are treated as VIPs. It is now clear that the present government is security risk and better it goes without wasting even a moment. MLA Sukhnandan Kumar also expressed his displeasure over discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh in granting funds for development of tourist spots. MLA Sham Choudhary said that the current session has nothing for the farming community as the time of ongoing session is being wasted on discussing the issues which are against the unity and integrity of the country. |
