| Miscreants allegedly thrash court official in Kathua | | | Et Plus Report Kathua, Mar 21 : Some miscreants created anarchy in district court here when they were asked by an official to park their two wheelers in parking stand. Eyewitnesses said Raman Chopra clerk of Advocate Pardeep Singh was beaten brutally by the miscreants and he received severe serious injuries after he asked them to park their two wheeler at proper place. Reports said at 12:15 noon, he had been near the chamber of his advocate in district court complex when accused Sonu son of Prem Chand resident of W.No.11 along with two other persons came in the court premises and without any reason started beating him. One Sunny Kumar who is also a clerk of advocate Arvind Kumar tried to intervene and he was also targeted and even beaten up by Sonu and his associates. They allegedly snatched Rs 1285 from the victim. Reports said SHO Kathua Shiv Dev allegedly harassed the victim Chopra not to lodge complaint against the miscreant Sonu and his two associates and even wasted his three hour without conducting the medical checkup in police station at Kathua. After the incident was reported to SHO telephonically, sub inspector Rakesh Kumar was sent to the spot who detained accused Sonu and his associates and took them to the police station. "Thereafter, SHO came in court premises and took me along to get me medically examined and when we reached the police station the SHO started to pressurize me for compromise," the victim alleged. He demanded that accused should be booked under law and punish accordingly for such a criminal act, committed by them with common criminal intention. The SHO refuted the allegations saying: "I had no wrong intention towards the victim as I tried to have compromise between the parties who were involved in the clash which was erupted due to misunderstanding. As a police officer it is my moral and legal duty to provide the justice to victim at any cast."
