| New breakthrough in Srinagar Airport land scam: Somaiya | | | Et Plus Report Jammu, Mar 21 : National Convenor of BJP Scams Committee & former MP Dr. Kirit Somaiya, in a special meeting of the State BJP Scams Committee which was presided over by State BJP President Jugal Kishore Sharma informed about the new breakthrough in the investigations into Srinagar Airport land scam and also suggested that a time deadline be fixed to uncover some more infamous corruption scams in J&K. Speaking at the meeting, Kirit Somaiya gave a resume of the anti-scam committee at All India Level as well as in state of J&K. He referred to new breakthroughs in the investigations into Srinagar Airport land scam. Somaiya suggested that a time deadline be fixed to uncover some of the notorious corruption scams in J&K. Earlier state BJP President Jugal Kishore Sharma assured Somaiya of his full cooperation in the months to come for exposing corruption and scams in the state. Jugal Kishore said that under present coalition government the state had crossed all limits of corruption and alleged that ministers are openly involved in land encroachments and money is being exchanged for government appointments and postings. Chief spokesperson of BJP, Dr Jitendra Singh informed the committee members that investigation was already complete on some of the scams like for example, NRHM scam in J&K involving fallacious purchase of ASHA kits. There was a direct link of this scam with NRHM scam in other states like Rajasthan where discrepancies had been found in the purchase of Ambulances. Dr Singh said that besides the Srinagar land scam, other major scams of the state on which the committee had worked and followed up included Tawi land scam MNREGA and JKCA scam. The meeting was convened by Dr Jitendra Singh, BJP State Chief Spokesperson and was attended by the Committee members including Chander Prakash Ganga, Chander Mohan Sharma, Bansi Lal Bharti, Sat Sharma (C.A), Balbir Ram, Parmodh Kapahi and Rajinder Sharma. |
