| Citizens Forum urges DGP for initiative to curb rowdy driving | | | et plus report Jammu, Mar 21: Taking strong exception of alleged cases about conductors of mini buses misbehaving with university and college girl students, Citizens Forum President RK Chadha in a meeting held here today urged Director General of Police, Ashok Prasad to deploy adequate number of police cops including the traffic police in Jammu to curb the said menace. In a meeting held here today R K Chadha said that some university girl students and their parents have complained to the forum that instead of stopping the mini buses at stop outside Jammu University or College campus to let the girl students board the buses the drivers keep the mini buses moving while the so called conductors push them inside. “This is highly objectionable and should be strictly dealt with by the police and other law enforcing agencies,” the forum observed. The forum appealed to the Director General of Police, Ashok Prashad to order posting of adequate number of police cops, including the traffic police, who should see to it that mini buses stop outside the university campus and girl colleges and in Jammu city to end the menace. The forum further rued that traffic police cops are least bothered about mini buses drivers for violation of traffic rules be it skipping red light or other including sonorous music.
